So the garage sale was a success! It was a week ago and it was a community sale within our neighborhood. You pay six bucks and it pays for the permit and for kidney foundation to come around afterwards and pick up anything you want to donate. Easy enough.
This time was a different story. The weather was beautiful. I didn't spend a lot of time prepping. I really didn't put much effort into at all. I didn't have the time to but really I didn't have the energy either after busy work weeks and being sick for a while. Not having any expectations was wonderful! The weather was lovely and I really enjoyed meeting some of my neighbors and just people in the community. I learned that my next door neighbor has eleven kids total. I have been trying to keep count but eleven! Woah! Hats off to her!
The night before the sale I moved everything I wanted to sell into the garage. I priced most everything beforehand but I didn't make a stink about it. I just priced things to what I thought someone might pay and moved on. People got good deals no doubt but it cleaned out our attic and someone else can use the items now. So much fun! I made about $200.00 and after the garage sale I went to the local farmer's market and spent a little bit of the money on plants to plant in a flower garden, which I'll share soon too. What a relaxing day and it was spent with my kids which was even nicer. : )
